Seventy Akin Gump Lawyers Named in The Best Lawyers in America 2016

(Washington, D.C.) – Akin Gump is pleased to announce that 70 of the firm’s lawyers have been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2016, the publication’s 22nd edition.

For the sixth consecutive year, R. Laurence Macon has been named a “Lawyer of the Year” in San Antonio, and this year marks his second such recognition in the field of Patent Litigation. Additionally, Charles Gibbs has been named “Lawyer of the Year” in Dallas for Bankruptcy Litigation.

Best Lawyers has been published annually since 1983, ranking lawyers solely through peer–review surveys, compiling lists of outstanding attorneys in which thousands of leading lawyers confidentially evaluate their peers.
