Steven Otillar Quoted by Houston Chronicle on Pemex and Gasoline Distribution Infrastructure in Mexico

For its article “Rangeland aims rail terminal at newly private Mexican markets,” Houston Chronicle quoted Akin Gump oil and gas partner Steven Otillar on changes to Mexico’s gasoline infrastructure in the wake of reforms to that nation’s energy industry.

The article notes that gasoline distribution networks, including gasoline stations, may soon allow more foreign participation, including company branding. Otillar noted that could come in May, when national oil company Pemex will publish the first version of policies governing its approach allowing private businesses access to its infrastructure Mexico-wide. He added, “We should see the road map that an actual market participant would need to follow to participate.”
