Tony Pierce Named Among “Most Admired CEOs of 2013” by Washington Business Journal

Akin Gump Washington, D.C. partner in charge Anthony Pierce has been named among the capital area’s Most Admired CEOs of 2013 in the category of “Professional Services” by the Washington Business Journal.

The Journal cited Pierce’s leadership of Akin Gump’s Washington, D.C. office—the firm’s largest—as well as his work as past president of the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia.

Pierce, a litigator and member of the firm’s management committee who began his career at Akin Gump’s D.C. office as a summer associate, is also a member of the D.C. Commission on Judicial Disabilities and Tenure as well as secretary of the Greater Washington Board of Trade. In 2012, he was named by the Journal as among its Minority Business Leaders.
