For its article “Abortion Ban Rattles America's Top Film State,” Bloomberg quoted entertainment practice counsel Vanessa Foltyn Roman on the potential impact to Georgia’s film industry in the wake of the state’s new abortion ban.

The article notes that this controversial law caught the entertainment industry in Georgia, the U.S.’s leading movie and TV production state, by surprise.

Foltyn Roman noted that, despite the controversy, several recent projects approved for state tax credits are planning to film in Georgia. However, she said she wondered if film and TV projects still in early stages of development might choose to go elsewhere “rather than step into a murky situation with Georgia.”
