Akin Gump senior advisor and former U.S. Congressman Vic Fazio was quoted by POLITICO for its article “K Street staffs up for a Democratic takeover,” which discusses what D.C.’s lobby shops are doing to prepare for a possible shift this fall in control of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Fazio, who represented California’s 3rd District in Congress for 20 years, is quoted on the topic of companies and trade groups asking for guidance on the impact they’d feel from a Democratic majority in the House: “There’s an awful lot of interest [from clients] in knowing who’s going to be on the key committees.”
