Hans Rickhoff is an experienced partner in Akin’s lobbying & policy practice with a strong background advising on and navigating complex legislative, regulatory and administrative policy matters. He has successfully represented Fortune 100 companies, associations, not-for-profit organizations and foreign sovereign governments in developing and implementing strategies to enhance their relationships and advocate their policy objectives before the legislative and executive branches of the United States government.

Hans previously served as a senior principal and general counsel at a global business advisory firm and in government. Leveraging his technical expertise and extensive network, he is regarded as a trusted resource on current policy issues, such as artificial intelligence (AI), health care, government funding, privacy and data security, emerging technologies, national security, defense and the federal agency decision-making process.

Bar admissions include the State of Texas and Washington, D.C. and to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court. He holds a J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law and a B.A. in Government from the University of Texas.
