California Introduces Senate Bill 1047

The bill sets out standards for developers (systems that meet the bill’s threshold of 10^26 flop would cost over $100 million to train). Specifically, the legislation clarifies that developers must take basic precautions such as pre-deployment safety testing and cybersecurity protections.
