NSA Announces Creation of AI Security Center

Summary

The National Security Agency (NSA) has announced it will launch an AI Security Center to manage the development and utilization of AI tools within US national security systems. The Center will be tasked with “developing best practices, evaluation methodology and risk frameworks with the aim of promoting the secure adoption of new AI capabilities across the national security enterprise and the defense industrial base.” The Center is expected to closely collaborate with industry, national labs, academia, the United States Department of Defense, and certain foreign partners.
