Pennsylvania Creates AI Advisory Committee

Summary

On July 3, 2024, State House Resolution 170 passed directing the Joint State Government Commission to create an advisory committee to research the impact AI can have with its application. Their study must include an assessment of the risks and benefits of the use of AI, whether AI should be used in state agencies, and how to best incorporate AI. At the conclusion of the report, the commission must decide on whether to recommend that a permanent commission should be established.
