President's FY 2024 Budget Request

Summary
President Biden released his budget request for FY2024, which aims to allocate nearly $25 billion in discretionary funding to research related to the CHIPS and Science Act, encompassing subjects including AI, among others. Many of the AI applications will be helmed by the National Science Foundation, which will oversee broad research and development efforts. The Administration is also eager to include AI systems in digital identity software to improve government services.
