Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) worked throughout the summer to spearhead discussions on comprehensive AI legislation, including via closed memberlevel briefings. As lawmakers return from August recess, the Majority Leader—alongside Sens. Martin Heinrich (D-NM), Todd Young (R-IN), and Mike Rounds (R-SD)—plans to maintain momentum on AI, including by convening “AI Insight Forums” to seek stakeholder input.
