Senators Introduce Bipartisan TEST AI Act

Summary

On October 30, 2023, Sens. Ben Ray Lujan (D-NM), Dick Durbin (D-IL), John Thune (R-SD), Jim Risch (R-ID), and Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) introduced the TEST AI Act (S. 3162), which would encourage the National Institute of Standards and Technology and the Department of Energy to develop testbeds for testing and evaluation of AI systems and establish guardrails on the development of AI systems.
