Akin Supreme Court & appellate partner Aileen McGrath was recognized among International Municipal Lawyers Association’s (IMLA) 2023 Amicus Award Recipients.

Aileen was honored for the brief she wrote for the association, pro bono, in the pending Supreme Court case 303 Creative v. Elenis. The brief argued, according to IMLA, whether “applying Colorado’s public-accommodation law to compel a website designer to serve LGBTQ marriage clients violates the First Amendment.”

This recognition follows Aileen’s Litigator of the Week “shout-out” from The American Lawyer Litigation Daily that she earned for co-leading an Akin team in an appellate win on behalf of the Seneca Nation (read more here).
