Akin Finance Team Recognized in Two Categories at the IFLR Middle East Awards 2025

Akin’s finance team has been recognized in two categories at the annual IFLR Middle East Awards 2025, which celebrate legal innovation in cross-border dealmaking and honor the teams, firms and deals that are pushing boundaries in legal practice.

Akin was named Islamic Finance Team of the Year, with IFLR noting that while all shortlisted firms were at the forefront of change in Shari’ah-compliant finance across local and international markets, Akin “shines as a cut above the rest.”

The team, led by partner Rizwan Kanji, also received the Islamic Finance Impact Deal of the Year award for its role advising Saudi Acrylic Acid Company on a recent Shari’ah-compliant transaction.

The awards were presented at a ceremony in Dubai on October 22.
