Akin in Top 10 for Texas M&A Rankings in First Half of 2023
Akin ranked #9 among law firm advisers, according to The Texas Lawbook, for corporate mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures in Texas for the first half of 2023.
Texas Lawbook noted partners John Goodgame and Kevin Schott for advising financial advisor Evercore in Phillips 66’s $3.8 billion acquisition of CDP Midstream and partner Cole Bredthauer for advising FireBird Energy II LLC in its $500 million divestiture to Quantum Energy Partners.
In July, Akin ranked #19 among law firm advisers in announced global and U.S. deals, according to Refinitiv’s global M&A league tables for the first half of 2023, with 35 announced deals as a principal, worth $47 billion.
