Akin entertainment, sports & media practice head Chris Spicer and partners Alissa Miller and Vanessa Roman have been named to the 2026 Los Angeles Times Entertainment Business Visionaries list, which recognizes exceptional skills and achievements, exemplary guidance and contributions to the Southern California entertainment business community. 

Chris Spicer is recognized for his work leading complex entertainment finance transactions, where he “orchestrates high-value commercial debt facilities, institutional production financing and catalog acquisition transactions for major independent studios and premier financial lenders.” 

Alissa Miller is highlighted for her extensive industry experience and client work, "leveraging 24 years of experience to direct institutional investments for high-profile clients like A24, Netflix and HarbourView Equity Partners.” 

Vanessa Roman is noted for her role advising leading financial institutions and media companies, providing “essential counsel to primary banking syndicates, including Bank of America, East West Bank and Comerica Bank to capitalize high-profile cinematic assets.”
