Akin Wins ‘Aviation Deal of the Year’ at Global Banking Markets Awards: Middle East 2026
Akin has won “Aviation Deal of the Year” at the Global Banking Markets Awards: Middle East 2026, which recognizes exceptional transactions and outstanding performance across the Middle East financial markets.
The award recognizes Akin’s role as legal adviser on a USD $1 billion dual tranche conventional and Islamic compliant financing for Avolon Aerospace Leasing Ltd. The transaction marked Avolon’s entry into the Islamic finance market and further demonstrates a strong appetite in the Middle East for high quality aviation financing opportunities.
