Akin lobbying & public policy practice co-head Brian Pomper, senior advisor Anna Abram and partner Kelly Ann Shaw have been selected among Washingtonian’s 500 Most Influential People Shaping Policy for 2025. 

According to Washingtonian, the list recognizes Washington D.C.’s 500 most influential people of 2025 – the “experts and advocates, outside the government, who are playing big roles in Washington’s policy debates.” 

Brian is featured in the Tech & Telecom section and is recognized as part of the team advising automotive companies on policy issues related to battery storage and access to international markets. 

Anna is featured in the Healthcare category for her significant contributions toward advancing medical and public-health preparedness and patient-centered drug and device development.  

Kelly Ann, featured in the Trade section, is profiled for her work addressing the growing significance of national security considerations in trade policy, particularly in the areas of export controls and investment restrictions in the context of U.S.-China relations.
