Brian Pomper, Anna Abram and Kelly Ann Shaw Once Again Named to Washingtonian’s Most Influential People List

Akin lobbying & public policy practice co-head Brian Pomper, senior advisor Anna Abram and partner Kelly Ann Shaw have been selected among Washingtonian’s 500 Most Influential People Shaping Policy for 2026. The trio was also recognized last year. 

According to the publication, the list recognizes Washington, D.C.’s “experts and advocates, outside the government, who are playing big roles in Washington’s policy debates.”   

Brian is featured in the Tech & Telecom section and is recognized as a “leading advocate” for stronger international intellectual property and trade rules on behalf of major technology and innovation companies. 

Anna is featured in the Healthcare category for her work on a provision in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act to expand IRA’s orphan drug price negotiation exemption to apply to more than one orphan designation and indication so long as each indication is for a rare disease. 

Kelly Ann is featured in the Trade section and is distinguished for her work navigating clients through complex tariff negotiations.
