Akin media & entertainment practice head Christopher Spicer and fellow partner Marissa Román Griffith have once again been named to The Hollywood Reporter’s annual Power Lawyers list, a ranking of Hollywood’s top 100 attorneys. This is the sixth consecutive recognition for Chris and the seventh for Marissa.

In a profile of Chris, THR notes that he put his “slate financing acumen to bankable effect” last year to advise FilmNation in its launch of production label Infrared. Chris is also noted for his work in traditional entertainment transactions, including having secured financing for all of the Keanu Reeves-led films John Wick.

Marissa is noted for her work with MRC in its Sundance sale of Fair Play to Netflix; her role in the development of Rian Johnson’s Peacock series Poker Face; and her advisement of JPMorgan Chase in a credit facility for Amblin Partners that provided capital for Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans.
