Four Akin Partners Again Selected for Variety’s Dealmakers 2025 List
Akin media, entertainment & sports practice head Chris Spicer and partners Marissa Román Griffith, Alissa Miller and Vanessa Roman have once again been selected for Variety’s annual Dealmakers list for 2025.
In its published profile of the group, Variety notes that the Akin team’s combined transactions in 2025 exceeds $4.5 billion, highlighting their work on deals for MUFG Bank, Comerica Bank and HarbourView Equity Partners.
Vanessa tells Variety that audiences are eager for live entertainment, pointing to the remarkable box office success of “K-Pop Demon Hunters,” despite the film being available on Netflix.
“I think that really shows you that there’s something people are looking for still that can’t be found sitting at home, and whether that’s live events or just sort of rethinking what’s in the box office.”
