Kelly Ann Shaw Named Among Washingtonian’s 2025 ‘Most Powerful Women in Washington’

Akin lobbying & public policy partner Kelly Ann Shaw has been named to Washingtonian’s 2025 list of “Most Powerful Women in Washington.” The list recognizes the most influential women in Washington, D.C. that are shaping government, business, the arts, education, law, media and nonprofits. 

Following her role as a senior trade official in the first Trump administration, Washingtonian highlights Kelly Ann’s move to Akin, describing the firm as a “law-and-lobbying giant.”  

The profile recognizes Kelly Ann as a “key architect of trade and national-security policy,” drawing from her critical role as the lead U.S. negotiator at global economic-policy forums.
