An Executive Order from President Biden enumerates more than 100 agency actions—from the Department of Energy, the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of the Interior—and instructs the agencies to evaluate each to determine if they were “harmful to public health, damaging to the environment, unsupported by the best available science, or otherwise not in the national interest.” Among these are actions related to energy efficiency, including those affecting appliance standards.
