Akin lobbying & public policy senior consultant and former House Ways and Means Committee Chair Kevin Brady appeared on Bloomberg’s “Balance of Power” to discuss the House Ways and Means Committee’s advancement of the proposed tax bill aimed at extending and modifying provisions of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

Chairman Brady tells Bloomberg President Donald Trump “should be pleased” with the significant step forward.

He adds that tax writers are trying to find balance and expresses confidence that they will find “common ground,” despite the likelihood of a series of changes still to come as the bill progresses.

“There are difficult challenges left but ultimately, at the end of the day, I’m confident they will get where they need to be on time.”
