For its article “Biggest Environmental Policy Actions To Watch In 2022,” Law360 quoted Akin Gump public law and policy counsel Christopher Treanor on climate-related infrastructure projects as one of the hot topics for the upcoming year.
The article notes the likelihood of significant action on climate change regulation in 2022. Treanor said that, aside from regulation, the sizeable funding appropriated by Congress for climate-related infrastructure projects will only get bigger if the Build Back Better budget reconciliation bill should pass.
He said, “A lot of private-sector clients will be looking to see where the opportunities are to find funding in order to make significant investments on emissions reductions in clean energy technologies.”
