Akin lobbying & public policy partner and former senior Trump administration trade official Kelly Ann Shaw appeared on CNBC's Morning Call to discuss the future of the U.S.-Canada relationship and ongoing trade negotiations amid continued tariff tensions between the two countries. 

Kelly Ann said, "The United States and Canada have no choice but to make this relationship work across a whole host of issues from economic to trade to national security." 

While acknowledging current challenges in the trade relationship, Kelly Ann emphasized that the United States and Canada will continue to engage across a range of issues. 

"Most of U.S.-Canada trade is completely unaffected by these tariffs and Canada's retaliatory tariffs," she told CNBC.
