Miami’s Community Newspapers Publishes Ros-Lehtinen Article on the Fight for Women’s Rights

Akin Gump senior advisor Ileana Ros-Lehtinen has written the article “Women’s History Month,” which was published by Miami’s Community Newspapers.
Ros-Lehtinen traces her own political journey, from her first campaign for the Florida House of Representatives to her nearly 30 years in the U.S. House of Representatives, to note how women every day are “removing more and more barriers, and blazing the trail for future generations.”
While there is still much that can be done “to encourage young women everywhere to pursue the career of their choice and dreams,” Ros-Lehtinen stressed that “each one of us has the responsibility and privilege of mentoring, inspiring and encouraging young women to become involved in their communities around the world.”
“We can all be heroes and sheroes,” Ros-Lehtinen wrote, “if we accept the challenge to work day in and day out to continue to motivate, mentor and prepare the next generation of leaders.”
