Akin national security & global investigations partner Ryan Fayhee joined NBC News’s Meet the Press NOW to discuss efforts in Washington to secure the release of wrongfully detained Iranian-American journalist Reza Valizadeh.

Ryan’s appearance follows the release of troubling audio from inside Evin Prison, in which Reza pleads for help from the U.S. government as he and other Americans face harsh and deteriorating conditions.

Fayhee emphasizes the urgency of sustained pressure and coordinated efforts in Washington to bring Reza home and the other Americans being wrongfully detained in Iran, especially as negotiations between the countries continue.
