Akin Advised Tokyo Gas in its $130 Million Sale of Oil & Gas Interests to Shizuoka Gas

(Houston) – Akin advised Tokyo Gas America, Japan’s largest city gas supplier, in the sale of its oil and gas interests in the Eagle Ford shale gas project in South Texas for $130 million under an asset portfolio review to improve efficiency.
The Akin team was led by oil & gas partner, Ian Goldberg, counsel Alex Miron and associate Garrett Korbitz, and included tax partner Alison Chen and counsel Aaron Vera. Additional assistance was provided by the Akin CFIUS and international trade team.
