(Houston) – Akin advised Aquadrill in its all-stock merger with Seadrill, a leading offshore drilling contractor. This transaction created an industry-leading offshore drilling company, with a modern and high specification fleet and a streamlined cost structure.

The transaction, previously announced in December 2022, is an all-stock transaction that valued Aquadrill at approximately $958 million.
