Akin Expands Capital Solutions Platform with Addition of Leading Private Credit Partner Heather Waters Borthwick in New York

(New York) – Akin announced today that Heather Waters Borthwick has joined the firm’s capital solutions team as a private credit partner in New York. Borthwick brings extensive experience in the performing private credit market, further strengthening Akin’s one-stop platform for private capital investors pursuing opportunities across the capital structure.
Borthwick joins Akin from DLA Piper, with a practice focused on direct lending and other transactions on the private credit spectrum. She advises leading credit funds and other asset managers on a wide range of financing transactions, including direct lending and cross-border private credit transactions, acquisition financings, refinancings, recapitalizations and hybrid capital deals.
