Akin Gump-Advised Deal Shortlisted in Two Categories of PEI Awards

(New York) – A deal on which Akin Gump advised has been shortlisted in two categories of Private Equity International’s PEI Awards.
In the “GP-led Deal of the Year in Europe” category for secondaries transactions, the firm was recognized for its work advising Coller Capital in a general partner-led process that combined six European mid-market assets into a $950 million vehicle. The deal helped Investcorp further institutionalize its investor base and move from a deal-by-deal to a fund-based investment model.
The Coller Capital deal was also shortlisted in the “Preferred Equity Deal of the Year (Global)” category, placing third of all those nominated.
