Akin Gump Advises Goodrich Petroleum in Sale of Eagle Ford Shale Leases and Wells

(Houston) – Akin Gump represented Goodrich Petroleum Company, L.L.C., as seller, in the sale of oil and gas leases and wells in the Eagle Ford Shale in Frio and LaSalle Counties, Texas, to a confidential private equity-backed buyer, for $118 million, subject to closing adjustments.
The deal, which includes approximately 13,000 net acres of leasehold and 83 producing oil and gas wells, has an anticipated closing date of September 4. Akin Gump partner Michael Byrd and associate Rahul Vashi, both members of the firm’s oil and gas practice, assisted Goodrich Petroleum with the transaction.
