Akin Gump Named to GIR 30 for Seventh Consecutive Year

(Washington, D.C.) – For the seventh straight year in a row, Global Investigations Review has named Akin Gump to its GIR 30, the publication’s ranking of the world’s 30 best law firms for handling sophisticated cross-border government-led and internal investigations.
The firm was noted for its deep bench of “practitioners who have served at the highest levels of the US Department of Justice in Washington, DC and as prosecutors at prominent US attorney’s offices across the country. Many of its large pool of former government lawyers are based in the US capital.”

The list is based on extensive research and determined through a formula that includes the number of active cases at a firm, the profile level of those matters, the number of leading figures at a firm and other criteria.
