Casey Higgins Named a Fellow of the Bipartisan Policy Center

(Washington, D.C.) – Akin Gump senior policy advisor Casey Higgins has been named a fellow of the Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC). Ms. Higgins, a former assistant to the Speaker for Policy and Trade Counsel under former House Speaker Paul Ryan, will work with the organization’s immigration experts to develop pragmatic immigration policy solutions while researching and writing on immigration policy and politics.
The BPC is a nonprofit organization that works to address the key challenges facing the nation. Its current issues of focus are health, energy, national security, the economy, financial regulatory reform, housing, immigration, infrastructure and governance.
Ms. Higgins has broad experience with issues before the House Judiciary, Ways and Means and Homeland Security committees. Her past work has focused on matters pertaining to trade negotiations and programs, immigration and border security, regulatory reform, constitutional issues, the courts, cybersecurity, transportation security and campaign finance reform, among others.
