Dan Micciche to Be Honored for Work Improving Schools, Fighting for Children

(Dallas) – Akin Gump tax partner Dan Micciche, who is also in his third term as a Dallas school board trustee, will be honored on September 21 at the Children at Risk annual gala for his work “improving schools and fighting for the district’s poorest children,” according to Advocate magazine.
Children at Risk noted in a statement that “The policies that [Mr. Micciche] has advocated for on behalf of Dallas ISD students have been replicated in other school districts and even at the highest level, the Texas legislature.”
Since 2012, Mr. Micciche has “helped integrate social and emotional learning into the curriculum, mandated daily minutes for school recess and required the district to serve food to all students as part of the Breakfast in the Classroom program,” according to Advocate.
