For Seventh Consecutive Year, Akin Gump Among Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces

(Washington, D.C.) – Akin Gump is proud to announce that the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption has again ranked the firm as a Best Adoption-Friendly Workplace. This is the seventh consecutive year that the firm has been so honored.
The 100 organizations that comprise the Foundation’s list are ranked based on financial reimbursement, paid leave and percentage of employees eligible for these benefits.
In addition to its placement on the Top 100, Akin Gump placed in the top 10 for Best Leave, which measures the maximum weeks of paid leave designated specifically for adoption, and in the Consulting, Accounting, Legal and Business Services industry category.
This is the latest in a string of recognitions of Akin Gump’s family-oriented policies. Earlier this year, the firm was ranked as one of the Top Ten Firms for Working Mothers and Family Planning by Yale Law Women (learn more here).
