Kim Koopersmith Returns to Equal Justice Works Board of Directors

(New York) – Akin Gump chairperson Kim Koopersmith has been named to the board of directors of Equal Justice Works, the nation’s largest facilitator of opportunities in public interest law.
Ms. Koopersmith had previously served for 10 years on the organization’s Board of Counselors and its Board of Directors, chairing the board for three years.
Ms. Koopersmith said, “I look forward to returning to serve as a member of the Equal Justice Works Board of Directors. This organization is a powerful force for good, and it is exciting to continue supporting the work of the Equal Justice Works Fellows across the nation who are providing critical legal services to communities in need.”
In addition to her service on Equal Justice Works’ board, Ms. Koopersmith serves as a member of the board of directors of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund and as vice-chair of the board of directors of Her Justice, an organization dedicated to assisting victims of domestic violence.
