Nine Years in a Row: Akin Gump Named Among ‘Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces’

(Washington, D.C.) – Akin Gump is proud to share that, for the ninth consecutive year, the firm has been ranked among the 100 Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces in Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption’s annual list.
More than 25 years ago, Dave Thomas, founder of Wendy’s® and the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, led an initiative advocating for better adoption benefits in the workplace. The Foundation has carried that legacy forward through its signature Adoption-Friendly Workplace program and 100 Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces list.
As it has for the last two years, Akin Gump placed in the top three within the legal/consulting industry’s top organizations in the ranking. This year, the firm also repeated as the top legal industry firm on the list and was ranked in the top 20 out of the 100 recognized organizations.
Akin Gump’s work on behalf of families extends beyond its own walls, as the firm’s pro bono service on behalf of Sandy Hook Promise—a national nonprofit founded and led by family members of those whose loved ones were murdered at Sandy Hook Elementary almost 10 years ago—supported passage of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, signed into law by President Joe Biden in June (learn more here).
