SB 88: Pennsylvania Requires Coverage for Breast Cancer Screening for Those at Higher Risk
Summary
SB 88 was enacted in November 2025. The law updates Pennsylvania insurance law to modernize and expand required coverage for breast cancer screening. It requires all health insurance policies issued or renewed to cover, without cost-sharing, annual mammograms for those under 40, supplemental breast screenings, and diagnostic examinations for anyone assessed as having at least an average or higher risk of breast cancer.
