Texas Prohibits Municipalities From Restricting Energy Sources in New Developments
Summary
This law was enacted in May 2021 and prevents cities from discriminating against any type of energy source to be used or delivered for new construction and utility services. Though not directly mentioned, it is aimed at preventing cities from banning natural gas.
