Practice & Background
Mr. Mc Stravick joined Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP in January 2018, having previously trained and qualified as an associate in the London office of a leading international law firm.
Mr. Mc Stravick’s recent engagements include:
- advising a multinational commodity trading and mining company on a US $40 million claim relating to an alleged breach of contract/fraud concerning the sale of multiple cargoes of crude oil before the English High Court;
- acting on a US$5 million SIAC breach of contract matter in respect of a long-term supply contract for Indonesian steam coal;
- advising one of the world’s largest oil and gas companies on the recovery of debts amounting to approximately US$12 million in relation to bunker supplies to multiple vessels chartered by a Korean logistic and transport company;
- advising an African energy supplier on a US$8 million claim for breach of the terms of a promissory note before the English High Court.
