Emma is an associate in the firm’s international trade practice. She advises clients on matters involving international trade policy and regulatory and policy developments. She also advises clients on enforcement and compliance issues related to U.S. export controls and economic sanctions, customs and import controls, and compliance with international trade laws and regulations.
Previously, Emma was a law clerk with the Honorable Chief Judge Brenda K. Sannes of the Northern District of New York.
She earned her J.D. from Cornell Law School, where she served as the articles editor of the Cornell Law Review. During law school, she was a student attorney for the Asylum and Convention Against Torture Appellate Clinic and the Labor Law Clinic.
Emma was a member of Akin’s 2022 summer associate class.
