Kate Doorley’s practice focuses on financial restructuring matters.

Practice & Background

Ms. Doorley represents debtors, creditors, official and unofficial committees, and other parties in interest in large, complex cases.

Ms. Doorley received her J.D. with honors from the University of Texas School of Law, where she was named a member of the Order of the Coif. While in law school, Ms. Doorley served as research editor of the Texas Law Review. She received her B.A. magna cum laude from Middlebury College.

Ms. Doorley served as a law clerk to the Honorable Barbara J. Houser, United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas from 2011-2012.

Prior to joining Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, Ms. Doorley practiced in the New York office of another leading international law firm.
