Biography
- Advises fund sponsors and institutional investors on a broad range of private funds matters, with a particular focus on fund formation and fundraising.
Umar is an associate in Akin’s investment management practice, based in Abu Dhabi.
His experience spans multiple asset classes, including private equity, venture capital and credit funds, and includes advising on the establishment, structuring and ongoing operation of private investment funds. He also assists investors in reviewing and negotiating fund documentation and investment terms.
Umar trained and practiced at a leading UK law firm prior to joining Akin.
