Riley is a political and policy professional who provides clients insight into congressional priorities and intelligence on when and where policy is likely to move. With a strong emphasis on client support, Riley actively champions their priorities, specifically in the realms of financial services and appropriations. Riley is highly skilled at developing compelling messaging and advocacy campaigns to ensure his client interests are well-represented.

Prior to joining Akin, Riley most recently served in the office of Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN). Riley served as a personal aide during Hagerty’s 2020 campaign and then moved with him to the Senate, where he assumed the role of legislative aide, supporting the Senator’s appropriations portfolio, including all 12 subcommittees, and work as Ranking Member of the Financial Services appropriations subcommittee. During his time in the Senate, Riley oversaw the drafting and introduction of multiple pieces of legislation and evaluated their impacts on businesses and constituents.
