Akin Gump Advises Ajax Exploration in Farmout Deal with Simba Energy

(Houston) – Simba Energy Inc., a pan-African oil and gas exploration company with assets in Kenya, Guinea and Chad, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Ajax Exploration Ltd., a privately owned oil and gas company, to farm out a 66 percent interest and operatorship of Block 2A in Kenya.
Marc Hammerson, a corporate partner at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, and Douglas Glass, an energy and global transactions partner at the firm, led the team that advised Ajax in the matter.
