Akin Gump Advises Energy Transfer Partners in Drop-Down Transaction

(Houston) – Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. and Sunoco LP (SUN) have announced the drop-down to SUN of the remaining 68.42 percent interest in Sunoco, LLC and 100 percent interest in the legacy Sunoco retail business for approximately $2.226 billion. Akin Gump advised Energy Transfer Partners in the matter, which will be effective as of January 1, 2016, and is expected to close in February 2016.
