(Hong Kong) - Akin Gump has advised KVH Industries in its acquisition of leading maritime training service producer Videotel. The $48.9 million transaction closed on July 2.

Nasdaq-listed KVH Industries acquired Videotel, a producer of high-quality training films and e-Learning services enabling computer-based e-Learning and distance learning courses for seafarers across the commercial maritime industry, which currently services over 11,000 vessels worldwide.

The Akin Gump team advising KVH industries was led by Hong Kong corporate partner Greg Puff, supported by associate Albert Suh.
