Akin Gump Advises Progressive Waste Solutions in Amendment and Restatement of $2.35 Billion Senior Secured Credit Facility

(Austin) – Akin Gump advised Progressive Waste Solutions Ltd. in relation to the amendment and restatement of its credit agreement, which closed today. The amended and restated credit facility consists of a $1.85 billion revolver and a $500 million term loan A.
Progressive Waste Solutions is one of North America’s largest full-service waste management companies, providing non-hazardous solid waste collection, recycling and disposal services to commercial, industrial, municipal and residential customers in 13 U.S. states and the District of Columbia and six Canadian provinces.
The Progressive Waste team was led by Ian Kidson, chief financial officer; Loreto Grimaldi, general counsel; Hansal Patel, treasury manager; Bill Herman, chief accounting officer; and Alim Lalani, associate general counsel.
